Day 11 of 21

Day 11 — Clear mental carryover before sleep

Unfinished thoughts keep your system active — even when your body is ready to rest.

Why this matters

Your mind does not shut down automatically at night.

Unresolved tasks, decisions, and concerns stay active in the background.

You’ve stabilized your physical system.
Now you prevent mental carryover from keeping it active.

What to do today

Spend 5–10 minutes clearing your mental queue before bed.

  • Write down everything still on your mind
  • List tasks, concerns, or open loops
  • Do not solve — only capture
  • Close the list and leave it outside the bedroom

Rule

Do not think through problems in bed.

Supporting guidelines

  • Keep it short and structured
  • Use the same simple format each night
  • Avoid turning this into planning or problem-solving
  • The goal is to close open loops, not solve them

What to expect

Your mind may still bring up thoughts at night.

The difference is that they feel less urgent and easier to let go.

If it’s in your head, put it on paper — don’t carry it into bed.

Complete Day 11

Did you:

  • write down what was still on your mind?
  • stop yourself from thinking through problems in bed?

If yes, Day 11 is complete.

You’ve now reduced physical and mental activation at night.

Tomorrow, you contain your thinking earlier in the day so it doesn’t build up.
